Dear Cycling in Flanders lover,
It’s clear that the whole world is going through difficult times, because of the COVID-19 virus. The same goes for Flanders.
As in the rest of Europe, the Belgian government has taken measures. You can find the latest updates here. Flanders’ museums, concert halls, culture houses, restaurants and bars are closed until April 18.
All spring classics in March and April are cancelled too. Races such as E3 Harelbeke, Gent-Wevelgem, Dwars Door Vlaanderen, the Ronde van Vlaanderen, the Scheldeprijs and De Brabantse Pijl are among the cancelled events.
Also all the sportives, such as We Ride Flanders, up until May 31st are called off as well. They will, however, some of them will be postponed to a later date this year.
If you are still in Flanders or having a trip planned, please reach out to your local authorities or travel agencies, in order to have the most recent and specific information.
Please do not hesitate to stay in touch with us via our Cycling in Flanders-social media channels.
We hope to welcome you soon, with twice the heart, love and hospitality.
See you soon and take good care of yourself,
Cycling in Flanders.
